Healthcare Issues
http://www.h4pj.org/issues/healthcare.php

Healthcare as a civil right for all, not just for the wealthy. In the United States, health is sold to those who have the means to buy it, or at least those who have the means to have insurance. It is a moral issue when the wealthiest democracy on the planet sees nothing wrong with allowing sick men, women and children to go without healthcare, even when it costs them their lives. What sort of people have we become when compassion for the most vulnerable among us is sacrificed for our own personal comfort? Hope for Peace & Justice advocates healthcare as a civil right for the 46 million Americans who are living without health insurance.

We give voice to values such as:

The creation of a culture of peace rather than war.
The value of people over profits.
Equal rights for all people, not just the majority.
The protection of the environment before the corporate bottom line.
Healthcare as a civil right for all, not just for the wealthy.
The same quality of justice for the poor as for the rich.
We encourage you to do something to promote peace and justice in the world. Whether you are a person of faith or someone who has no professed religious or spiritual faith, it is important for you to work to overcome cynicism and complacency and take personal responsibility for making peace and doing justice.

We would love for you to get involved with Hope for Peace & Justice as a partner in this great work.  -- Michael Piazza
